Compost Tea in a Box 40 Gallon

Introducing…Compost Tea in a Box! Compost tea is a living solution. It is the act of growing beneficial microbes in an aerated solution with food sources and mineral catalysts.

When fed and aerated, beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and all of their microscopic friends contained in the soil food web begin to replicate to extraordinary concentrations.

Compost tea is both a fertilizer and a living solution. The “fertilizer” comes from the food sources (Earth Syrup, Earth Kelp) and mineral catalysts (Earth Tonic) and the living solution, or microbes, come from the biological inoculant (Earth Compound).

Compost tea can be created in unlimited ways. There is still so much left to discover. Start with our recommendations, years of research and trial & error have gone into creating our formulas. Rest assured your garden has never seen anything like it.

Description

Introducing…Compost Tea in a Box! Compost tea is a living solution. It is the act of growing microbes in an aerated solution with food sources and mineral catalysts.  When fed and aerated, beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and all of their microscopic friends contained in the soil food web begin to replicate to extraordinary concentrations.

The concept is really no different than keeping an aquarium. You have to aerate water and feed your fish to keep them alive, same with microbes. The Compost Tea in a Box kit is designed to be accomplished with a simple air pump and 5 gallon bucket.

Every gardener deserves an experience with a genuine living solution. After all, you can’t buy this kind of solution on a shelf. Packaging the microbes in a non-aerated container kills them over short periods of time. Now you can make it at home and use directly in your soil or hydroponic garden and watch your plants thrive.

Compost tea can be created in unlimited ways. There is still so much left to discover. Start with our recommendations, years of research and trial & error have gone into creating our formulas. Rest assured your garden has never seen anything like it. Compost tea is both a fertilizer and a living solution. The “fertilizer” comes from the food sources (Earth Syrup, Earth Kelp) and mineral catalysts (Earth Tonic) and the living solution, or microbes, come from the biological inoculant (Earth Compound).

However, compost tea is not the same as a general fertilizer, especially artificial fertilizers. Often times, artificial fertilizers contain industrial byproducts that do not represent food for microbes and are very harsh on them and on plants.

Artificial fertilizers can even “burn” plants when used at too high of a concentration. A plant “burn” is when the edges of plants show signs of stress and the leaves wither. It is actually a water stress. When too much fertilizer is used outside the root zone of a plant it sucks water out of it via osmosis. Artificial fertilizers do not feed the soil, they attempt to feed the plant. They normally do not even contain the essential elements needed by plants to grow. Use of artificial fertilizers can easily be overdone as discussed above. Organic fertilizers are much more forgiving than artificial fertilizers.

Organic fertilizers like Earth Syrup and Earth Kelp are actually microbe foods. Microbes make plant food, not people. Consider that the trees in the forest do not eat the leaves, they eat what the microbes make of them.

The same is true in a compost pile. Organic matter does not just melt, it is biologically decomposed by the microbes we are growing in compost tea. We are encouraging and concentrating this biological process when brewing compost tea. There is an intelligence in the soil that cannot be reverse engineered. The image to the left shows a beneficial fungi catching a parasitic nematode. Somehow the fungi knows not to catch beneficial nematodes. We don’t need to completely understand Mother Nature to allow her to help us. Pest infestations are created by a weakness in the plant.

Pests are actually attracted to unhealthy plants via infrared vibrations emitted from empty proteins. This has been documented by Dr. Phil Callahan. Bugs don’t have antennae for nothing!

Because compost tea contains beneficial microbes that have been helping plants eat for millions of years, in addition to the plant food created from the food sources & catalysts (Earth Syrup, Earth Kelp, Earth Tonic) contained in the compost tea brew, the plant can operate at optimal efficiency. Compost tea can also work directly on pests if used consistently. Many of the microbes contained in compost tea are seeking protein. The exoskeletons of most garden pests are made up of protein. Similarly, plant diseases are simply a pathogenic microbe that has no organisms to eat it.

Plant disease is an indication of biological imbalance. Rather than attempting to kill the pathogenic disease organism directly with harmful chemicals, it is much more effective to treat the disease with beneficial predator organisms that bring balance to the situation. Compost tea is a jack of all trades. You will be amazed at what it does for your garden.
